Jobst-Smith Signs with Hometown PWHL Vancouver

Former Okanagan Hockey Academy student-athlete Nina Jobst-Smith has signed in the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) with her hometown PWHL Vancouver.

Jobst-Smith was selected in the third round, 19th overall by PWHL Vancouver at the 2025 PWHL Draft and recently signed her first professional contract with the team.

The North Vancouver, BC defenseman spent the 2019/20 CSSHL Female U18 Prep season with Okanagan Hockey Academy tallying 15 points in 21 games. She would then spend five seasons in the NCAA with the University of Minnesota-Duluth, recording 13 goals and 54 assists in 172 games.

Jobst-Smith has represented Team Germany on multiple occasions, including the last five Women’s World Championships. She was named a Top 3 Player on her team at both the 2022 and 2025 tournaments.
